There are many secured credit cards to choose from, some offer no fees which is the best for anybody. The fewer fees you are paying, the better.

Other benefits to having a secured credit card are online shopping and making hotel, airline, or rental car reservations. Without the freedom of a credit card you can't make reservations or enjoy the conveniences of shopping online.

When you apply you will be required to deposit a certain amount of funds into the account, and will only be able to use this amount for purchases. Secured credit cards, also called pre-paid credit cards, involve zero risk for the companies issuing them, because they aren't actually giving you any funds above and beyond what you deposit.
