Scots In Debt Crisis

The amount of debt that is being taken on by the Scottish public has risen almost two-thirds in the last year.

It has become a worry to the Citizens Advice, who is trying to warn the people of the extent of the debt that some are getting themselves caught up in. Citizens Advice are stating that people who are coming to them in their droves with debt worries, are seeing that on average, the debt owed is over £13,000, that is a rise of over £5,000 in the last two years. With much of this being owed to credit cards and store cards.

This has led Citizens Advice, to believe that some people may never be able to pay off the debts that they have built up.

You have to remember that Citizens Advice stated a figure of over £13,000 as an average, but also saying that one in five of those who came seeking help owe in excess of £20,000, it makes the mind boggle.
