Play your cards safe

Protecting your credit cards from fraud is fairly easy, as long as you think about what you are doing when you are dealing with the day-to-day workings of your credit card. This can be such little things, as not leaving your credit cards lying about where some crook could use a “skimmer”, which will copy the details on your card and then be extracted and used to make a copy of your credit card.

Other such things as your transaction receipts and statements, can be used to take your credit card information from, these should be shredded rather than just ripped up and thrown in the bin. Also when in any shops and stores, make sure that your credit card never leaves your sight, as a dodgy assistant could own a “skimmer” and a quick swipe of your credit card under the counter before you realise it, is easily managed.

Plus always read over your statement at the end of each month thoroughly and tell your credit card issuer of any transaction that is untoward.
