Identity thefts on the rise

A menace and consistently still rising, Identity Fraud is the worst type of credit card fraud around right now. The down side is that we can be the sole benefactors in helping these thieves get their filthy hands on our credit card and bank details, I say this as how many of us just simply throw any credit card receipts or bank statements, straight into the rubbish bin.

This will lead to the thieves who are rummaging through your rubbish in the dead of night or the early hours of the morning and then selling them on to a bigger source who will then use this, to defraud you of your hard earned cash. Even that friendly Bin man, who smiles and says god morning, could be helping to steal your identity.

So what can the crooks get from your details? Well for one they can open up bank accounts in your name, apply for loans, credit cards and even to the social security and claim benefits. Or use your details for forged passports or driving licences.
